Take a Photo with the Town Dog
Daytona residents didn’t know they’d all soon fall in love with a large, brown stray dog when it walked into their city one fateful day in 1940. Brownie, the Town Dog, quickly became a favorite as he hung out with cab drivers, played with kids in the park, and mingled with shoppers. Brownie became so popular that he got his own fancy dog house and a bank account with his name on it, which the caring residents donated to.
This friendly pooch rose to national fame, attracting tourists from all over the U.S. who stopped by to snap photos with him.
